Darren 🧑🏼‍💻  Out of a personal need, when moving from professional sport to the corporate world, I lost 20 kgs in weight. Having been a professional athlete for 6 years, I was exposed to many of the best nutritionists in the business and definitely took this for granted. I left sports to head for corporate life where it soon became apparent I was struggling to balance a busy lifestyle with meeting my essential nutritional needs. I needed a solution that not only delivered nutritionally but tasted great too. My solution? Whole Supp. 
Dr Brian 👨🏻‍🔬 I started Whole Supp to use my knowledge to provide a solution for people who need convenient food options that support them in their daily lives, helping them to perform to the best of their abilities.
Where do you believe the unique value of the Whole Supp product lies?
 
Darren 🧑🏼‍💻 Firstly our product tastes amazing. This might sound biased but on any of our blind tasting Whole Supp always comes out on top compared to our competitors. Also, that Whole Supp has a high protein count per serving and is packed full of superfoods too. 
Dr Brian 👨🏻‍🔬 Given my background I am somewhat biased here, but the scientific foundation Whole Supp is built on enabled us to include novel ingredients that can impact our health and performance, differentiating us from our competitors.  
Describe the taste of Whole Supp?
 
Darren 🧑🏼‍💻  Smooth and delicious  Dr Brian 👨🏻‍🔬 Whole Supp has a subtle and natural taste. The texture is also thick and smooth. Vanilla is my personal fave!
 
What makes Whole Supp sustainable?
 
Darren 🧑🏼‍💻 Let’s start with the outside before diving inside the pouch. You might have noticed our industry is full of plastic, Whole Supp pouch is home compostable. Our pouch is plastic free, made from 90% recycled materials and is home compostable. Whole Supp is a zero-food waste product!! We maintain strict sustainability sourcing standards and source our ingredients from whole foods from local suppliers wherever possible. Whole Supp is made in the UK from local and international ingredients and complies with the three core principles of sustainable products. 
Dr Brian 👨🏻‍🔬 As well as developing a product that sustains our clients nutritionally, we want it to be sustainable for the world we live in too. From an ingredient perspective, the plant-based nature of the product aligns with our sustainability goals as these ingredients are ‘greener’ than animal-based products. From a packaging perspective, our pouches contain no plastic and are completely home-compostable, something none of our rivals can claim. Our box and all other packaging are curb-side recyclable and we are on our way to being a certified B-Corp which demonstrates our commitment to sustainability.  
 
Would you recommend Whole Supp for weight loss?
 
Darren 🧑🏼‍💻  Whole Supp has not been designed as a weight loss product, however, it can be used as part of a balanced diet to support fat loss. Whole Supp enables you to easily track your calorie intake with the added bonus of keeping you satisfied between meals.
Dr Brian 👨🏻‍🔬 I get asked different versions of this question a lot! Whole Supp was not designed as a weight loss product but as a nutritionally complete meal. Can it be used as part of an overall diet that is focused on improving body composition? Absolutely! Whole Supp is a convenient way to control energy intake at specific meals while knowing you are getting the right proportion of high-quality macronutrients (proteins, carbs, fats) and the right proportions of vitamins and minerals. Unlike energy-dense but nutrient-poor foods, Whole Supp is nutrient-dense, meaning that per calorie you are getting all the right nutrients your body needs.
 
Does baking/cooking with Whole Supp change its nutritional profile/value?
 
Darren 🧑🏼‍💻 You can bake away, the main tenets of the product will not be affected.
Dr Brian 👨🏻‍🔬 Any processing of food (including baking) changes the profile somewhat, but in the case of fortifying your baking exploits, you are not losing the key benefits of Whole Supp.
 
What does healthy living mean to YOU?
 
Darren 🧑🏼‍💻  The first word that comes to mind is balance – I feel we are living in a world where people are striving to become healthy but put a mass amount of pressure on themselves.  As with anything, consistency and sustainability are my two key pillars of a healthy lifestyle. So set your health goals around something that is sustainable and be consistent  
Dr Brian 👨🏻‍🔬 To me, healthy living is being able to pursue things that bring you joy in life. That is built on three fundamentals for me: exercise, good eating and social connection. If I have those three things in place I am fit and healthy to perform at work, to pursue my pastimes and most importantly have the energy to enjoy time with my family and friends.   
 
What are 3 habits that you exercise for your mental and physical health? 
 
Darren 🧑🏼‍💻  For me it's: go to the gym first thing in the morning and of course have Whole Supp for breakfast😊, try to hydrate as much as possible throughout the day (3 litres is my goal) and lastly, journal at night. This is often more of a task list for the next day but helps me unwind and provide clarity for my day ahead. Oh and of course, get a minimum of 8 hours of sleep!
Dr Brian 👨🏻‍🔬  I exercise about 4-5 times per week and am generally physically active on rest days. I eat healthy nutritious food, most of the time (!), but I don’t obsess about it. Finally, I try to make time for a social outlet to balance things out.
